Victorian Disco Review part II

please excuse the long wait on this wonderful review....i just got around to doing it. Ive been super busy with work/kiddos/life i havent had time to swatch...but i did it last night!!!

So i am on beautylish and ran across the lovely Smashley S. Owner of Victorian Disco Cosmetics and she was looking for people to do trials for her beautiful eyeshadows and glitters!! I jumped at the chance to do this!!
you can find part one of the review here.

This review is over yoda's yoga mat, do the jabba jabba and a cosmetic glitter in predator. I love these colors. I though they would be too bright for me...but on my skin they look really nice. maybe ill have a look up of them soon.

sorry about the sideways ones...they reverted back when i uploaded them.
here is predator, do the jabba jabba and yodas yoga mat. The top is over too faced shadow insurance the botton is bare skin. I really love the light wash yym gives on bare skin and it looks darling over primer. Its a nice light green with a golden shimmer-y shift kinda. do the jabba jabba is a  nice bright yellow. it does have some shimmer to it. again its gorgeous either way but i love it over tfsi. Predator is a nice red base glitter with silver/gold glitters. this definatly needs to be applied over a primer or glitter glue. As you can barely stayed on bare skin but stuck to that primer. I took a shower right after i did these swatches and had to scrub on my hand to get the colors off.

I definatly recommending going out and getting Victorian Disco Cosmetics. You can find her on etsy here and on   facebook here.

well they we have it ladies and gents. A big thank you again to Ashley for letting me participate in these trials...expect an order from me after the holidays!!!
thanks for checking out this review!!

until next time,

DISCLAIMER: This product was sent out as a trial review. I did not purchase these items. The opinions are my own and I am in no way affiliated with the above mentioned company.

victorian disco review....part 1

hey there lovelies!!! i finally have caught up on the housework and have two napping children so i have time to post part of my Victorian Disco Cosmetics review so here we go!!!

I found out about Victorian Disco Cosmetics (im just gonna call it VDC) on Beautylish. if you have never been on there i highly suggest you check it out! Beautylish is one of many social sites about makeup/beauty and by far the best i have been to!!! everyone is wonderful and there are some very talented beauties on can find me on beautylish here! Anywho....i ran across Smashley S.(dontcha love it) and she was asking if anyone was interested in doing trial reviews for her new cosmetics company...of course i said yes!!! i had seen some swatches on the VDC facebook page and was super excited to be able to participate in this trial!!!

onto some pictures: here is the black and pink bag the trials were sent to me cute are they?

love the return star!!

inside i received 6 samples and a lovely tokidoki note.

i really like the colors i recieved.  For being a sample it is quite a bit of not really good with eyeballing measurments so im not sure the size but you can get quite a bit of wear out of these. The only thing i wish the label would of been on the other side but i understand its purpose to keep the bag sealed so its not a big deal....just personal preference. and how cute is the tokidoki note? i love it!!!!

colors: I received 6 samples...5 shadows and 1 cosmetic glitter. the shadows are: do the jabba jabba, yodas yoga mat, tatooine, pannier, and revolutionary ball. I love the names...and anything nerdy rocks in my wars is really easy to pick awesome makeup names!!! The glitter i got is predator.

i dont know why those are sideways...sorry!!!
on part of 1 of this review i did tatooine, revolutionary ball and pannier...swatched over tfsi and bare hand.
tatooine, pannier, revolutionary ball.

I really love all 3 of these colors....esp pannier! tatooine is a nice gold with gold flecks...its really pretty. pannier is a neutral taupe-y brown with a hint of gold shimmer....its looks great on a neutral eye. revolutionary ball is a nice blue with a kind of green shift with pink/green/blue shimmer. (im terrible with describing colors these are what i see)

natural light
on these three colors the color payout is wonderful....i do recommend using a primer unless you like the soft look...and i would imagine that revolutionary ball would look gorgeous on top of a black or dark blue base.
i was going to do a look with these 3 colors but havent had the chance to yet.....hopefully soon i will have that up.....i do have a pic with pannier on though...
this is it with udnp1 naked underneath and a nice black liner.

i really love this color it super awesome!!!!
hopefully i can have some time to do part 2 of this review....soon!  until then  here is a peek at predator!!

until next time lovelies!!!!

(this product was sent to me for review)

November Favorites.

so i figured i would jump aboard the favorites wagon and let you beauties know what products i reached for for the month of november. i plan on keeping up with this and doing one of these posts every month.

First up is Garnier Fructis Leave in conditioning  cream. This really makes my hair, which is staticky as all can be this time of year, behave. Has a nice fruity smell, isnt greasy and makes a great cuticle moisturizer also.

Next up is my Hard Candy Sheer Envy primer. This is the only face primer i have tried and i really like it. It comes out purple but blends into a nice sheer shimmer. You can use it alone or with makeup. It has great staying power and makes my face feel great.

Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Rescue Gel Cream. I love this stuff!!! its a refreshing gel but applies like a cream. Smells is nice, consistency is firm but gel like and it moisturizes the heck out of my skin .  This is the 2nd time i have bought this and i really like it.

up next is hard candy's blush in living doll. its a nice bright pink with shimmer. perfect for a nice pick me up during the day and a bright flush of color. I always get compliments when wearing this blush.

the last 2 are products from a wonderful woman i met on cafemom. Her name is Laurie and she is the owner of Mineral Face fx. mffx is all natural mineral shadows and other makeup. i plan on doing some collection swatches and reviews in the near future. Here is the website and if you like them on facebook here, you can see the newer products she has.
up first is a nice highlight color i have named custard. its a nice neutral shimmer color and i really like it. perfect wash of shimmer.

and last but not least is a lip color in Girl Friday Remix. She ran out of the original Girl Friday before i had a chance to order i settled for this. The only thing, and i STILL kick myself for is not  ordering it in a tube. i got a pot instead and its kind of a pain.

creepy i know, sorry!!!

What are some products you couldnt leave without during november? Have you used any of these products i have listed?
if you would like to see a full review on  any of these just let me know.

until next time
