eotd...the first brown fall.

So today is my day off and what better to do then do some updating. this is my look from last night. I was inspired by the nice cool temperature and wanted something soft and elegant.

This is just a soft neutral look i decided to do on a lovely early fall day. I used mineralface fx and darling girl cosmetics shadows.
mineralface fx i used jedi which is a soft brownish color with a slight blue tint. This was used as my all over lid color. In my crease i decided to go with darling girl cosmetics in valiant. Its a gorgeous deep taupe-y shimmer. Its lovely. I also used darling girl cosmetics in dr pepper cake which to me looks like shimmery watered down dr pepper with gold/purple sparklies. This was used as my under eye liner. I also tend to use a shadow since pencil liner always smudges.

I topped this look off with 2 different black liners on my waterline: rimmel soft kohl liner in black and covergirls liquiline blast in black also. curled my lashes and and applied to coats of maybelline falsies in blackest black. I know its bad but the other way i can make this particular mascara look good is by pumping the wand. i hate doing it but i also hate having to waste mascara. oh well, live and learn.


I also used hard candy sheer envy primer, udpp, elf concealer in light, mineralface fx powder in medium light, elf bronzer in golden, and hard candy baked blush in pin up. On my lips i acutally just used some vaseline and a dollop of darling girl cosmetics holo-gloss in zombie. Its a pretty cranberry with blueish shimmer.

Thats all. I really liked this look and hope you do also.

the last few days...

so i have been super busy with life and am just now having some free time to update...im just going to do a picture dump...i have so many pics of the looks i have done this weekend.

spoiled brat

Up first is this Wet n Wild trio in spoiled brat. im a sucker for pink and black and these are beautiful. The black is so sparkly, you can see it in this photo. I have heard wonderful things about wnw but havent had the chance to pick them up.

NYX pinched.

This is a NYX powder blush in pinched. This has been hailed as the perfect dupe for nars orgasm so i really want to try it out. The color is beautiful has a bit of shimmer in it, so i have to have it.

Garnier BB Cream.

Garnier will be launching this bb cream soon in europe and according to some other sources will be jumping the pond and arriving in the us by december...i sure hope so!! i have been following musings of a muse and she has talked about BB creams before and has sparked my interest.

What is a BB cream?
BB creams come in a variety of different formulations and qualities. Some are said to have skin whitening or brightening properties. Others are anti-acne, some are anti-wrinkle, some are intended to even out skin tone, and yet others to lighten blemish scars. BB creams are sometimes used like a primer under foundation, and if tinted may even replace foundation and some newer ones will have functions of primer, foundation, moisturizer, sun block, pore minimization and skin refining together which can save time and money in make-up.
So Basically its an all in one beauty cream that has sunscreen...kinda like a tinted moisturizer but better.

Last but certainly not least is the fall collection from mineralface fx. These were just released so im not sure if they are on the site. If you are interested in any of these colors i can get you the contact information to get them!! Colors (l to r) top: nougat, brownstone, copper diamond, plum wine and wind chime. bottom: aurora, whispering pines, persian red, lambrusco and linen. I want them all but if i only had to pick 5 it would be whispering pines, linen, brownstone, aurora and plum wine.

This color is also included in the fall collection and it is tear drop. It just looks gorgeous. Once i get my hands on these i will definatly be doing a review and swatches so stay tuned for that.

EOTD: pokerface and lovegame.

so far i have done pretty well at updating daily. I have some things i would like to start posting but for now, im still going with eye of the day. Its easy and painfree.
didnt have much planned today, just my son's dr. appt and my daughters ballet recital...both went extremely well. I wanted something bright and fun and i figured since I love purple and pink i would go with those colors.

I used my mineral face fx again...i promise once school is back in session i will get swatches and reviews up of all the colors i have. These colors are both from the lady gaga collection.

pokerface is a purpleish with a very pretty pink/silver glitter. Lovegame is super sparkly pink with silver glitter.

I used the same liner and mascara as the other looks this week. also used elf bronzer again since its too hot for a full face.

Lovegame is on the entire lid, pokerface in the crease. I also used my nyx glitter palette in paradise. out of the 5 colors i used to black sparkles.

no flash so this is the true look.

EOTD...iron man goes frolicking through the spanish moss

I was organizing my makeup case and came across some colors i havent seen in awhile!! I am a member of a moms only forum Cafemom and have met a wonderful mother/entrepreneur named Laurie who runs her own mineral makeup company Mineralface FX. She has wonderful products and her colors are amazing!!

These particular colors are from 2 different collections, The spring 2011 and superfriends. The silver is Iron Man and the green is called Spanish Moss. Ill be doing a review on her company soon. but until then here is my eye of the day

    Its still way to hot out to do a whole face look. I just used my elf bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and shadow.

I really like this combo together. silver and green together are awesome!!

no flash. i really like how this turned out!!
